Ambulance Service
Blackford Community Hospital provides Paramedic Ambulance Service to the community 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The ambulance service offers 911 emergency services to the community as well as transfer services of patients from Blackford Community Hospital and surrounding areas to tertiary care facilities. Ambulances are stationed and staffed in both Montpelier and Hartford City for optimal response throughout the county.
Patients requiring the services of the ambulance can expect to be treated and transported by EMS professionals who have received additional training in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Lift Support (PALS), and Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS).
The ambulance service is also available to conduct educational opportunities to the community.
