BMH South Tower named the John W. Fisher heart Center

Ball Memorial Hospital officials recently announced that the new $87 million South Tower, which will be home to its intensive, cardiac intensive, progressive, diabetic and cardiac rehabilitation units will be named for Muncie philanthropist and businessman, John W. Fisher. Dubbed "The John W. Fisher Heart Center" the building was named to honor Fisher's 55 years of service to Ball Memorial Hospital.

"John Fisher has been a part of our board of directors for more than five decades," said BMH Board Chairman Kelly Stanley. "He has been pivotal in shaping the future of health care in East Central Indiana, building it from one anchored by a single hospital into a focused health care system. We would not be here today without the generosity and leadership of John Fisher and the Ball family. We are proud of our 80-year history of providing outstanding healthcare---and we are pleased to be able to recognize the important legacy of the Ball family---and of John Fisher."
