CHS Pharmacist earns select certification

Brian Cochran

Brian Cochran, Pharm.D., BCOP, Pharmacy Services at Ball Memorial Hospital and The Cancer Center, recently earned certification in oncology pharmacy practice from the Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties. Oncology Pharmacists address the pharmaceutical care needs of patients with cancer, providing care for various malignant diseases and their complications. There are only six pharmacy specialists in Indiana and 450 nationwide to have attained this select designation.

“A designation like this is an honor, and it keeps you on your toes to maintain the knowledge base required,” said Cochran. “I hope our patients see beyond the initials to my dedication and commitment to them, especially those with cancer.”

"We’re proud to have Brian as part of our team here at The Cancer Center”, said Terry Pence, senior administrative director of The Cancer Center. “This again demonstrates the commitment of our professional staff to achieving the highest standards and contributes to Ball Hospital’s excellence as an institution and the high level of cancer care provided by the staff at Medical Consultants and BMH at The Cancer Center.
